Its really a small area to dissipate a lot of heat. My 12700K on Noctua crazily spikes to 75c out of nowhere on common tasks to return to 40-50c. As long as you are running stock and a decent Air cooler like you do, you will never in a real situation face thermal throttling, but as always is nice to reduce temps, which in turn allows also to reduce voltage witch further reduce temps. Especially gaming on those chips seen to me to be more efficient than my old 9900KS. Even with uncapped wattage/current like 4024W like asus do, on default clocks even with default VID table you will absolutely be able to keep it running with exception of p95 even room temp. Even CB for me seen to stay around 200W (as hwinfo reported). Im on 12700K too, i guess my cpu isnt a good clocker since i need 1.3v to remain stable, as it seen, on 4.7 all core.Įven if you raise the power cap to 240W or whatever, you would only attain that with either OC or a very demanding avx task. Is the tempratures normal or dangerous? Do i need to get myself a new cooler or what do you think i sould do?Ĭlick to expand.Really if you dont OC, noctua will hold on, you will not ever enter thermal throttle, unless you do AVX intensive tasks like P95. I dont understand why cinebench makes it run hotter then when i am using the Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility CPU stress test? When I try to run cinebench temperatures just Sky Rocket in 95+! and I did not finnish the test. Running Intel (R) Extreme Tuning Utility CPU stress (100% load) test I get around - 78-80 c

Playing Cyberpunk for an example, all on Ray Tracing Ultra - 65-70 c

This is the temperatures i get, i am using Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility for monitoring. There is a setting in MSI BIOS where you can choose "cooler tuning" so i choosed the lowest setting to get the temps down. I am running the processor on 241W in the BIOS setting. I have read about others who use the same cooler it and the temperatures they present seem to be lower. I would like to ask you all experts about the tempratures, because I think it runs hot and was wondering if the cooler is too weak for the processor.
